Your Health Plan usually requires you to pay a co-payment/co-insurance and/or meet a yearly deductible.  These payments are expected at the time of service. The adult that accompanies your child to the office must bring the payment with them. In most cases, you will need to reschedule your child's appointment if you are unable to pay at the time of service.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  It is necessary for us to collect this money up front in order to continue to provide the best care we can for all of our patients.  We accept cash, checks, credit cards-VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, and AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Present your insurance card at check-in to insure that we have the correct insurance on file.  Co-payments and co-insurance are a contractual obligation between you and your health plan. If the co-payment or co-insurance obligation is not met, your insurance plan has the right to deny the charges. This may leave you responsible for the services rendered during your visit.  Our insurance department files your claim as a courtesy. Due to the increase in insurance plan types, it is very important that you contact your insurance company for a complete list of in-network providers.  Please let us know if there are any questions about your coverage prior to your child's appointment.

It is your responsibility to inform the front office of any changes in your insurance, address, or phone numbers. It is your responsibility to know your insurance coverage and if our provider is in-network with your insurance plan.

If your insurance requires you to choose a PCP (Primary Care Physician) and we are not listed on your child's insurance card, you will be required to pay for the visit at the time of service.   This includes Medicaid and NC Healthchoice Carolina Access patients.  Many insurance companies will deny payment if we see a child who has a PCP other than our office listed on their card.  It is very important that you update this information with your insurance company.

As a convenience, to our established patients, we offer sick walk-in clinics every day.  We charge an after-hours fee for these visits.  Not all insurance plans pay the after-hours fee that is incurred when your child is seen during one of these clinics.  This is charged to the patient if the insurance company denies payment.

Our regularly scheduled office visits are Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm.  We have sick walk-in clinics (for established patients) Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 9:00 am. We have our evening sick walk-in clinic from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
