D. Scott Burton, MD, joined Salisbury Pediatric Associates, PA in 2003. He has a special interest in childhood obesity. Dr. Burton enjoys well child care and general pediatrics.
Dr. Burton volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, and has worked as a youth advisor. He is an active member of his church.
Dr. Burton enjoys swimming, playing basketball, and spending time with his four children.

Edmund J. Cody, MD, graduated from East Carolina University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Virginia's Health Sciences Center. He has worked at the Salisbury Children's clinic for 10 years.

Benjamin H. Craighead, MD, joined Salisbury Pediatric Associates, PA in 2004. His particular areas of interest in pediatrics include psychiatry, critical care, asthma, infectious disease, and childhood safety.
Dr. Craighead is a certified neonatal resucitation instructor and is a member of the American Academy of Pedatrics and the North Carolina Pediatric Society.
Dr. Craighead enjoys golfing in his free time.

Wayne C. Koontz, MD, has been with Salisbury Pediatrics (formerly Known as Salisbury Children's Clinic) since 1957. In addition to general pediatric care, Dr. Koontz has a special interest in ADHD.
Dr. Koontz has participated in mission trips with First United Methodist Church over the years. He enjoys running, gardening, and crafting furniture in his spare time.
Dr. Koontz resides in Salisbury where he and his wife, Ann, raised their three children: Melanie, Laura, and David.

Dr. Mark D. Lins joined Salisbury Pediatrics in 1993. He enjoys well child care and general pediatrics. He is the president and laboratory director of Salisbury Pediatrics.
Dr. Lins is a runner and rides horses. He also enjoys gardening in his spare time. He spends much time coaching and cheering his son in Challenge soccer.

Dr. Christopher Magryta joined Salisbury Pediatrics in 1999. He has a special interest in pedatric allergies, asthma, and immunology. He has studied Integative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil at the University of Arizona School of Medicine.
In addition to general pediatric care, Dr. Magryta provides specialized care in wellness, nutrition, and combines alternative medicine with traditional medicine.
Over the years, Dr. Magryta has participated in missionary work in Ecuador and Belize. In his free time, he enjoys soccer, biking, playing percussion, and spending time with his wife and children.

Kathleen Russo, MD joined Salisbury Pediatrics in 1997. She is the 2007-08 President of the Medical Staff at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She also serves as Medical Director of the Rowan County Child Advocacy Center.

Jennifer Hudson, MD, joined Salisbury Pediatric Associates PA in 1996. In addition to providing acute and well-child care for infants through college age children, she offers adolescent, gynecological care.
Dr. Hudson has been involved with many medical mission trips including traveling to Kenya, Honduras, and Guatemala. She also runs a diabetes prevention and nutrition clinic along with a dietician.
Dr. Hudson is the author of a children's book series. Her other interests include: swimming, biking, and spending time with her three children. Habla Espanol.

Jinae Perry, PA-C is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then completed her Masters in Medical Science degree at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. Jinae completed her clinical requirement for her Masters degree here at Salisbury Pediatric Associates. We were so impressed with her clinical skills that we asked her to join our practice upon graduation. She has been a full-time member of our practice since February 2008.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistance.

Sherry H. Bryan, CPNP-PC joined our group in October 2008. Sherry is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care. Sherry and her family have lived here in Salisbury for a number of years and she had always brought her two children to our practice. We were very glad that when she decided to return to pediatric primary care that she came to us.
Sherry has a special interest in adolescent medicine.

April Lamanno, PhD, joined Salisbury Pediatric Associates, PA in the summer of 2009. She is a licensed psychologist through the NC Psychology Board and a Health Services Provider. She is also a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
Dr. Lamanno is originally from Salisbury and returned to the area in 2007. She provides family and individual therapy to children (2-12), adolescents (13-21), and their parents. In addition, she provides diagnostic and consultative services. Psychological evaluations are available to assess the social, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning of children and adolescents. Problems with academic achievement can also be assessed across subject areas. Specialized assessment services include testing for Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and tests necessary for academically gifted consideration.
In her free time Dr. Lamanno enjoys bicycling, traveling, reading, and hiking. She and her husband live in Spencer, NC and have a daughter, Eva.
